I am a highly professional and organized technician with natural risk management skills. These skills have developed greatly in the fifteen years since I joined NetApp: I have welcomed new challenges and capitalized on the training available through the company. An enthusiastic team member, I enjoyed being part of NetApp Netherlands. Performing alone as a on-site engineer I have developed good relationships with our customers and regularly receive positive feedback.
My hobbies are playing guitar, 3D sculpting, cooking and friends.
My strategy is simple: to create a place where the best researchers and most promising students can achieve their full potential.
As a Professional Service Engineer based in the Netherlands I provided hardware installation, consultancy, basic training and knowledge transfer to a vast range of NetApp customers using UNIX or Windows OS. I performed hardware installations of NAS CIFS and NFS, SAN with FCP, ISCSI protocols with basic or advanced Ontap configuration.
I have proved myself as a strong team player, working closely with the sales team for record breaking sales. I have demonstrated my depth of knowledge and people-management skills by successfully delivering a number of projects.
Part of a team of four around the world, my role was to maintain the software and hardware of NetApp systems in Cisco offices. Being the first line of contact for the EMEA area, the role included recommendations for all new products, planning of updates, hardware migrations, backups and security as well as debugging performances issues.
Services provided:
PSE on site at Cisco, for EMEA regions concerning NetApp SAN/NAS solutions - Data Migrations - Snapmirrors & Snapvault technologies - Documentations, reports - DataRecovery - Day to day Management

Recruited by Network Appliance in the Netherlands, on my return from Cambodia, I joined the French tech support following a period of training at company HQ in Sunnyvale, California. Providing telephone-based support, I was part of the team troubleshooting customer problems related to Network Appliance products and OS in UNIX and Windows network environments. I enjoyed the urgency of the job and the up-to-the-minute learning opportunities. During this time I was certified as a Network Appliance Engineer.
As Cambodia rebuilt after years of turmoil, I was hired on a five month contract to implement and develop TCP/IP and Internet/Intranet services. The project was to install a WAN, covering the subjects of Remote Routing, Remote Access, Email using MS Exchange Server and Intranet using IIS and MS Proxy. I also trained local technicians to take over installing and troubleshooting WAN and LAN on my departure.
In 1997 a new law demanded that all French medical offices become computerized. DML, a company developing medical management software with integrated hardware solutions, needed technical expertise to install their systems. Visiting costumers to install hardware and networks (Windows NT) and, on completion, delivered training; I became the technical face of the company.
JMKT is the oldest and largest IT Company in Cambodia. Since its creation in 1992 it has given IT support to the 360 NGOs that provide international aid. Hired to introduce networking to a country that was still using Windows for Workgroups. As technical supervisor I helped JMKT introduce Novell 4.11, NT4, and train technicians to troubleshoot procedures on WIN95.
For 10 years I ran my own company Jpl Micro delivering PC networking and sales consultancies for customers such as Thomson CGR, General Electric, ORPI and ASO Paris Dakar Organisation. Starting with Philips 5040 and related software, I moved to DOS/Windows related software (Word, Visio4, AutoCAD, PageMaker), developing networks with LANtastic, Windows for Workgroups, Novell NetWare Lite.
keeping ahead, always on the edge of the world changing technologies.
